Hello, I'm Dr. Lina Kennedy, a board certified dermatologist and proud owner of Grace Dermatology. I grew up in Southern California and started my journey into medicine here. I completed a bachelor’s in science at UCLA before heading to the east coast for my medical training. In Washington, D.C., I attended Howard University College of Medicine. After obtaining my medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 2012, I completed an intern year in intern medicine at Georgetown University. Following this, I returned to Howard University Hospital to pursue dermatology residency. I completed my residency and acquired my board certification in 2016. During my training, I worked alongside many world renowned dermatology experts. I have a unique set of clinical skills due to the diversity in training I have received. 

Upon completion of my training, I returned home to the beautiful Southern California. Here, I have the pleasure of serving several communities. My first professional chapter unfolded in Long Beach at  Laser Skin Care Center, where I provided dermatological care to the local community and surrounding areas for four years.

Continuing my journey, I then had the privilege of working with Stefani Kappel MD in Corona Del Mar for three years, focusing on laser treatments and aesthetics.

I have also taken on teaching roles with the University of Irvine by working with residents at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center. It has been an honor for me to care for our veterans. 

Beyond my professional achievements, I'm a devoted mother of two, finding joy in hiking, quality family time, and the simple pleasure of watching movies.
